Some brief notes about our Buscot picnic. Some of you will remember this day when you may have had a very unexpected morning thunderstorm. So it was a pleasant surprise when fifteen of us gathered in Buscot House car park under trees on the hottest day of the year and it was dry and sunny. Everyone except me had brought a chair however I was offered chairs by this lovely friendly group. I must buy a chair to go in the car, however you can picnic at this venue using Buscot's standard picnic tables. We sat in something resembling a circle which enabled us to chat while we ate. Unfortunately we couldn't get any refreshments or buy plants as only the gardens and grounds were open on this particular day. Thankfully the loos were available! Stella reminded us once again that she is resigning from her post and a replacement or replacements are needed if afternoons like this are to be repeated. I do hope there will be some volunteers so we can continue to enjoy our outings
